Data sources

A number appears on a public page only when it is stored on the vehicle, variant, or specification.

Editors and the ingest API write the catalogue. Each model, variant, price, and specification can store a source URL and a verified-at time. The model page repeats that date and links the source when they exist. If they are empty, the page says the verification date or the source has not been published.

Mileage is shown in km/l, km/kg, or km per charge. Miles-per-gallon figures are not shown on public pages. Prices on these URLs are India INR amounts. A price stored for another market does not replace them.

A comparison is indexed when both vehicles are the same type, are sold in the same market, and are either stored as rivals or sit within 1.5 times on price in the same currency. The page still loads when that test fails. It is marked noindex, follow, and it is left out of the sitemap.

Lists such as cars under a price, SUVs under a price, electric range, automatic cars, and 7-seaters are built from the same rows. A list, brand type hub, upcoming page, new-launches page, or buying guide is indexed when it has at least 5 vehicles and, for a guide, a stored answer. A shorter page stays noindex, follow, and out of the sitemap. Upcoming models are those with lifecycle status upcoming, sorted by the stored expected launch. New launches are on-sale models whose launch date is in the last 90 days.

Discontinued models remain in the sitemap at a lower priority. Brands with no published models return a 404. Test records are hidden from the public site.
